6:45 to 7:45 p.m. From Ancient Books to Modern Science

How knowledge of medicinal plants was transmitted from classical antiquity to the age of printing; the daily exercise of physicians who added the results of their own practice.

8 to 9 p.m. Medicine from the Past

What ancient medicinal plant manuals tell us and how this knowledge can be repurposed in contemporary research as a source for new discoveries.
