Inspiring innovation from tradition

Historia Plantarum: a new monthly discussion series on medicinal plants & history!

Alain Touwaide will present and discuss topics in plants, medicine, and medicinal plant history, reaching as far back in time as Hippocrates and Cleopatra, for example, but including more recent developments, such as the importance of Paracelsus or the discovery by William Withering of the medicinal importance of Foxglove. Discussions will give a supplementary dimension to the relevance of Huntington living collections. These conversations - free and open to the public - are scheduled for the third week of every month, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, in the Auditorium (lower level) of the Huntington's Brody Botanical Center, San Marino, California.

Mark your calendar! Upcoming dates: February 16, March 16, April 19 and May 17.
