Inspiring innovation from tradition

ScreenshotThe 8th Edition of the Colloquia Ceranea Conference will take place in a hybrid format at the Uniwersytet Łódzki, Poland, from 7 to 9 May 2026. Once again, the Institute for the Preservation of Medical Traditions is proud to be among the supporting organizations. This year’s symposium will feature two parallel sections, each focusing on distinct themes:

Between reconstruction and deconstruction: ideas, motifs and images in anti-heretical propaganda and dissident doctrine (Room 203)

Alain Touwaide and Emanuela Appetiti will run a workshop to introduce and explore MediManus—the innovative platform dedicated to Greek medical manuscripts, developed in collaboration with the colleagues at the Center for Hellenic Studies, Harvard University. During the session, the features of MediManus, its potential applications and future developments will be discussed.
